As my friends’ interest in travel began to grow (read : expand outside the US), so did mine, and it wasn’t until 2020 when Covid turned my job remote, that I really rediscovered my interest and joy for traveling my home country.

Still a pretty well kept secret, Suttons Bay is a fairly hidden beautiful Lake town just outside of Traverse City that turns into a lively family summer destination. The town itself is pretty much just one street, but it has everything you need.

Although famous for it’s iconic skyline, Seattle and its surrounding neighborhoods are VERY green - there are lush, beautiful trees guarding the city, which is weaved in and out of various waterways.

Famous for simply not being famous, Marfa’s slogan of ‘Tough to get to. Tougher to explain. But once you get here, you get it.’ could not be more true.
